ABOUT ME
I'm Alan Loh,
a freelance web designer in Auckland.
I was born in April 1999 in Kuala Lumpur and spent the most of my childhood in Kuala Lumpur, and my teenage years in Auckland.
The name Aleph is a reference to the Hebrew letter, which I used as my Gamertag for games I grinded heavily as a teenager (League of Legends of course).
I first stumbled across coding in the late 2000s when I was amazed at how people would totally change the design of their pages on Tumblr. Fast forward to my first year of university, where an information systems class reminded me of the pure pleasure of seeing numbers and code transform into a design.
How web design transformed my life.
I was still a student attending university when I had the idea of providing quality digital marketing solutions. I was trying to open a small online store but found most web design services to be overpriced or lack creativity and originality. So I decided to take it on myself to teach myself coding to create my own website but ended up with the idea of helping others who were in a similar situation as myself.
My first few websites were done for free to practice my skill. Fast forward to this day, where my high-quality digital marketing solutions not only save businesses a ton of money but also create revenue for them.
